True Verse

Too bad you weren't here to see
Too bad you weren't there to hear
The stanzas recited from my mouth to a overfilled crowd
Were the words of truth gliding across the room
Freed from its tomb within,
To reiterate I am unsure where to begin...
Should I start where I recognized your ambition
How it turned all 1000 gears in my body like a key in the ignition
Can I start my story where I reunited with the missing piece
Of me...where we completed a perfect scene
After unknown gaps of time, we linked old yesterdays with new tomorrows
Spilling rhymes together that collaborated into a vision.
Too bad life is an intervention
Too bad you felt I never paid attention
The stanzas flowing from my brain were hard to swim in
A room that tried to hear them suddenly became muddled
Only you would understand,
Truth is you filled the piece to see my inner Man.
Amazed at how much dedication given by you
How much evolution of my gifts forced by you
You are truth
I could easily start the story in midst of my denial
Your love vs. The state of my Emotions
I stand trial
Crime committed: Neglection
Failure to acknowledge the detection of loneliness
Failure to make progress in watering our seed
So instead of blossoming we digress
Alone you bleed from the same love that let you undress
Became your stress...
Too bad I didn't let you know earlier
Too bad I wasn't there so you could be when it mattered
Because the stanzas spilling from my lips were gold
The dreams of possibilities of growing old...together
Scary thoughts of the million word story I can tell with four letters
I guess I’ll start my story when you are ready to hear
The truth that I know you inside first, and outside bare
I see the pain I left that another mends
But don’t you dare speak the words ‘I don’t care’
If I lose the trial against your love then eternity I still have to try again
And again and again till you accept my appeal
Friends forever was predetermined
Since 6 when eyes met and God pressed begin
And again...at the beginning of new life we proved this real
Your heart is not mines to steal, but still I would like to openly say to you
I love you...not you, but You.
The tears falling inside because pride does not permit
The smiles to self humor you find in people living life what they think to themselves
The happiness you gain with the discovery of a new dish
The food creations you formulate form your shelves
The satisfaction and sexiness you get when you talk that ish...
Then proceeding to prove, secretly hoping to be challenged and overpowered
Your care and flaunting of your body, outshining any diamond
Who knew playing with those dandelions would grow you to a beautiful flower
Too bad you do not know this,
Too bad I opened a wound
Too bad he is there to fix it.

The stanzas I just wrote were just a reflection of my dues.

Thoughts of The Neptunian

I am not a Martian, I hail from Neptune as they say. To the contrary however I am as warm as sunlight running the sides of this planet we call Earth. Females seek my warmth, miles away, yearning to be comforted by a body of familiarity. How is it I am much further and distant, but you relate? How is it you yourself are so cold? Is it because females hail from the heat driven planet of Venus, stranded...on this rock we cal Earth. They are chilled and misunderstood from the male domination running ice trails, from Mars. This rock is warmth so they adapt and made for each other these species are. What sets me apart...being from much colder depths, analyzing this ‘alien’ species they call humans...and in deeper depths what they call ‘female’. Emotional creatures they are...seeking my adaption of warmth, companionship, my understanding of them and taking advantage of the intent to learn more, to listen to every cipher of sound that is muddled from their mouths. Using my ‘foreign’ abilities to build dams across their eyes to eradicate the meaning of cry. With reflexes faster than light catching each every drop of love and care that drips from their lips? Where I am from we waste nothing, so why should this treasure...be any different. Using my super hearing to hear the calls for help within, without her needing to say a word...is this what they conflict with being near me. Do I scare you...or do I simply reflect what you are missing...Segregation or alienation of my presence is inevitable...Maybe you are simply alien...to your needs. I can be blinded and still see.

Flow

I feel...so I write...in fact I vibe
To the strings of my emotions
Intact with the rhythmic motions
I call it my poetic ocean
Ironic I broke with a girl resembling Ms. Ambrosius
Only to become lost with a love I came to loathe
Maybe Natalie Stewart can help, is she who I should seek?
I befriended her clone and again broke... when with her I should be
How I see, I have lost my flow, and the shade from my tree
How can the poetic be floetic when I have broke my personal Floetry?
The mistakes lie in the past, where the truth isn't, and apology is the absentee
Is Ms. Badu’s words true? Because I believe it’s she who should call me
Amazing what we come to unwind in time
About who we are, who we grow into, the motivations and inspirations
My dedication to these assembly of rhymes is for you
And you...and you...and yes you,
For the many I have parted and the few who hold a piece
A piece of the heart that bleeds with the emotion
The potion is your tears, and mines
The lessons we learned, that have become my light
I feel...so I write...In fact I vibe
With life
Everything and where we are is for a reason they say...
So apart is where we should stay
Right?

Man-less Fathers

In 2013, I feel shame that my sisters straight attracted to a brother because at nearly 23 I am kid-free...
As in it comes at no shock I keep it old school, I am no fool.
I keeps it tight hat on straight all night. With a business plan and a limitless ambition I am a black male on a mission.
M.O.B! and no disrespect to the ladies, but the phrase is in reference to the realization that I’m working like a dog. Obedient to my goals and keeping One man as owner, God, my best friend.
Fresh as my wingman and never less than perfect with the set up...Fed up these ladies are with the same, till I give them my usual name, and conversations that spark their brain, and give the heart a change.
You want to feel me, but afraid of another, fear that I’ll be every other brother.  Giving out a taste of young wisdom in poetic terms, metaphors skim light like the epiderm...is it fair that you ask to stroke my ego as my equal, when I’d rather stroke your mind till your lips queef...words of disbelief...
In the recognition of your lonesome, you want me wholesome.
In a high tone you scream you want to hold my life seed and I took heed to my mamas word.  These females leave you stuck like mud. Beauty is a blinder and lust is like opium in bud.
Ironically I don’t do drugs, and though my hands dirty I stay fresh as a stud.
It is not my due blessing to get caught in that cycle, Never blinded by the beautiful psychos, a good shot at life so never misfiring the rifle.
It seems I'm trying to teach, they yell preach! but why bother?
In a lesson so many have forgotten,
[I need to become a Man before I ever become a father.]

Destiny

Her love for poetry is emotional
The arts are simply her story untold
If these words creep into the depth of her soul
Who am I to know?
She would never let it show,
In life's reality she is an enigma
Like myself I see her persona as a stigma
In a world cold with judgements
Her uniqueness is a social annulment
It is the words she will come to grow with
The picture will bless her with a kiss
And in ignorant bliss
Be the depth she falls in love with...
The Arts are simply her story untold
Her love for poetry is exceptional
More than any addiction defined by medical
These passions lie dormant
Waiting for words spoken
Deeply awoken,
By a sculpture she will come to make love to
Stanzas she will marry to,
And play cool with rhyme schemes she can finally listen to
The arts ...are her story waiting to unfold
And her love for poetry...will be her destiny.

I Like ___You

Picture sampled from Deliver Us From Eva, partial inspiration.

To say I like you....well...that would be quite childish...so I give you this..

Because we are grown and I'd rather be quite bold,
But not feed you bs one liners that quickly get old,
Just to lure you to my humble abode.

I'm trying to obtain the key to the know.
You know... that gesture a woman is rightfully owed?
Countless conversations on a date where we dish out diverse information,
Followed by a night where we flex our vast imaginations....
Letting them loose into a starless city sky
Open your eyes, to Pure relaxation.

My mother you are not, so ma is not your name,
A man, no kids and you? a woman,  so who is baby girl? Shame.
Sorry sweetie but those are nicknames are from lames and I won't say I'm different.....
But I'll show you I'm not the same.

It's too early now, but I'd like to take time and properly nickname you 'my world'
But till then I'd like to officially ask you to be 'my girl'
So I may at least dive into ' your world' and explore your greater sights.
Walk you through your darkness and bring you into the light.

Together....I'm just saying we'd achieve greater heights,
Towering above flights and unlike them, never achieve plight.
Maybe a few fights, nothings perfect...
But whats a sunny day without a few rainy nights?
This may be a spark but a fire I wish to ignite.

So to say I like you.....well.....childish it might be,
But I place this between the like and the you,
And hope that you like me.

Dark Chocolate

My black beauty
Dark chocolate truffle I call her
Filling unknown.
Your truancy is my falter and I ..
Could never diet when we are alone.

See you...you are a skaters rink
The fat boys cake
The alcoholics drink
And the antonym of fake...
I'm inclined to think our encounter was fate.

Staring you down, but respecting your temple
Our engagement is strictly mental
And you...enlarge my lymph nodes
Sick I am with over indulgence of your black tones.

Sweet I say.
Craving to have a taste if I may.

Strawberries, oranges, grapes, divine fruits
On their ripest day, couldn't taste as sweet as you
Between the largest palm trees
The breeze couldn't blow cooler than you

And you...

Take me to new heights
Higher than the stars on cloudless nights
Grasping my heart with divine might!

Body of a goddess, I see no blasphemy
While infatuated with you, you lust for me
Lips dripping with curiosity
The integrity of a man you long seek
So for me? You wish to see

I aim to be everything you dream in your sleep
And when you wake, much more
I might not be what you need
But I AM what you been looking for

Sign me up for the season
I'm not just playing for the score
But I go hard and give plenty reason
Like a biggest fan to scream more, more!

This is just my foresight
Premonitions from a fantasy
If only I may try
I'd pay by giving all of me.

Woman Of Today

I need...a woman...not a girl
One to show my world
While I indulge in hers...
One who I deny my secrets..
One daring enough to dig anyway...
Not always under me...
But by my side she'll stay...
Ambitious, threatened by no bitches,
The fuel to my ship exploring riches,
Call her the woman of today,
mature from the girl yesterday,
grab me when I trip and I'll catch you when u fall, you offer me your hand, a piece if you,
I make blind the truth
But with you, I want it all
A woman to cuff in the fall
Chill out in the winter, lay gleaming like some stars,
Spring up and sweat me in the summer,
Who will challenge her?
My intellectual, spiritual, woman who is universally sound
Other chicks remain earth bound
Soft like fresh linen
And the one to say I love you and know I'm not pretending...

Black Mother Of The Earth

So stood strong the black mother of the earth
Heart slumped from the heavy rains
Through the floods of deep pain does she remain...
Feeding wisdom to delinquent boys running loose
Yet paused abruptly they were by her firm hand and deep truths
These will not be their roots,
As she laid her seeds and face dirty palms sweaty from the gardening of trees
Green in nature as beautiful as God intended to be
Raising delinquency into obsequious men she did
In societies rays of hate, and dissipating ways
Yes she would give her last breath to the protection of her kid
Her tree, this garden...filled with weeds.
Hands and knees will she pull from the ground
For as long as God willing she will be the last woman standing
For when all else falls down.
So stood the black mother of the Earth..
This is your turf and we lie guest to it
You have made me and I attest to this..
You are the beauty beyond the sun itself
And your dedication may remain stealth
But your heart beats ever so loudly
The beat of the Earth...lies in your chest
As you take each breath...ever so deep
The world spins unknowing, when it should be kissing your feet.

How To Love A Black Man

The First thing you must understand
there's no easy way to love a black man
you've got to figure him out
learn what he's about
and know he's someone you can't live without

Then kill him with kindness
shower him with sweetness
but never let him mistake your kindness for weakness

It's hard for him to give himself to you
so be appreciative of the little things he tries to do
let him know he can trust in you
and in return he won’t have to hide things from you

So be supportive
Be his friend, not his foe
When he makes a mistake don't say I told you so

Be understanding not demanding
Let him unwind
he faces a world of rain
so be his sunshine

Don’t get too cozy in the comfort zone
You take him for granted and you'll end up alone
Keep love exciting, Go the extra mile
Keep finding ways to make him smile

Remember to be sexy cause without a doubt
He wants to be proud when he takes you out
Don’t let yourself go, don’t forget about YOU
Love yourself and he will love you too

Don’t smother the man
Let him breathe
The tighter you hold him
The faster he will leave

And when you love him
Love him all the way down
Don’t be afraid to explore him pound for pound

If you don’t give him what he needs to feel
Its guaranteed that someone else will
If you provide for him
He'll provide for you again and again

Be honest
Be patient
and demand respect
and a wonderful black man is what you will get

Show him your pride
Stand by his side
Let God be your guide
and Love will Abide

D.O.N.

Black Is Not Me

Those who are ignorant to the fact
What is Black?
A color by nature
Race by force
Thereby creating force of nature
Black is a movement
A scary thought
Unmethodical change with no light
Yet you call me it?
As if it were a thing
Shadow of a doubt
Generalizing one class
But no--not  all
Or all but one
Me
Call me as you see
Brown skinned, African American
But just Black I will not be
